Exhausting first days

In the meantime, after landing in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and completing the formalities, we have found accommodation on a camping site outside Halifax. Here we have prepared the amigo for the onward journey: so clothes and food stowed, fresh water refuelled and our batteries and those of the amigo charged. Besides then also Peggys Cove visited.

On the place directly at the water we are the smallest vehicle and there are no tents here. Huge mobile homes with extendable side walls, bicycles fastened at the back outside the vehicle and the Jeep or Rang Rover still fastened with a handlebar at the rear, impress me mighty.

The weather is favourable, i.e. dry and sunny cloudy. After sunset it cools down noticeably. So far we have always had our meals in the Amigo.

The first days in the amigo are exhausting for me: Where is what? And I have to get used to the cramped room this time. A good and challenging opportunity to practice informal mindfulness exercises.

The Indian Harbour Light, the lighthouse at the end of our little walk today, offered the opportunity for undisturbed meditation.
What about you guys practicing mindfulness exercises, so of course I’m specifically addressing those who have done this before!

On Thursday we’ll continue, the next destinations on the peninsula are looked out for …

Wir freuen uns auf den Austausch mit dir...

A cultural shock…..these big campers are indeed impressive. Well I guess this must be America…..home of the big everything! This must be very different for Europeans. People here still love big V8 engines here. I mean 6 to 9 liters 8 cylinders, or 10 even 12 cylinders gas engines. Diesel not very popular this side of the Atlantic.
